On March 21st, the stunning Monaco Yacht Club set the stage for SDN Monaco 2025, a high-level gathering of club doctors and sports medicine experts from across Europe. Hosted by the Sports Doctors Network (SDN), this one-day summit delved deep into the complex world of elite athlete healthcare, with sessions led by top professionals from Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal FC, AS Monaco, AC Milan, and more.
Structured into four key sessions—Screening, Pitch-Side Care, Daily Team Operations, and Surgery & Imaging—the program tackled the full lifecycle of athlete care. Presentations included how to conduct effective pre-season and pre-signing screenings, manage knee and ankle injuries during live matches, monitor player wellness daily, and apply surgical and non-surgical treatments for shoulder and spine issues.
Panel discussions and Q&A segments emphasized not just technical expertise, but also the importance of collaboration and real-time decision-making under the pressure of elite sport.
